About the Hall\u2019s Defibrillator<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Hall has a free-access defibrillator located in a yellow box at the front of the building.
Local villager Paul Johnson kindly looks after the unit for us (a service previously performed by Lyn Rout) and is the one to contact if there are any problems with it. He can be contacted on telephone number displayed on the box.
The battery is checked and replaced when necessary on a regular basis.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

If you have to make a 999 call, the call handler may decide that a defibrillator is required.
You will be asked if you are able to go to the village hall to get the defibrillator, but this would usually only happen if someone else is able to stay with the person in need, as phone contact with the emergency services must be maintained at all times.<\/i><\/p>\n\n\n\n

The yellow metal box is fixed to the front wall of the village hall. The Defibrillator is in a bright orange carry case inside this. Remove the orange case and take it with you. When you are back with the patient, open up the Defibrillator and turn it on.
You will then hear an automated voice that will give you instructions.<\/i><\/p>\n\n\n\n
